I’m Writing on Substack Now

Some of you may know that I have the Channel of Storytelling in my Human Design Chart. This has apparently been very obvious from a young age, where I would run around the house narrating exactly what I was up to! Recently, I’ve been feeling an increasingly urgent pull to find an outlet to share my storytelling gifts. That outlet, I’ve decided, is Substack!

I’m so excited to share my new Substack, called The Channel of Sensitivity, with you today. I don’t know about you, but in addition to craving an outlet to share my natural writing and storytelling gifts, I’ve been craving real, deep, authentic content from other people. Something more than snippets of stories on Instagram or 10 second Reels. I’ve been craving depth, and deep honesty. The kind of storytelling that comes from true reflection and digestion, rather than the constant in-the-moment narration that usually dominates our social networks. Not that there is anything wrong with a good Reel or TikTok - I can appreciate the artistry of those as well. I’m simply saying that lately, I’ve been craving something different.

And I’ve found that on Substack. I love indulging in the long-form writing and personal stories of other authors who share on that platform. It gives me a glimpse into their inner world, and more often than not I see myself in their stories. That, to me, is the magic of storytelling from a vulnerable and authentic place: We realize we are not alone in our struggles, triumphs, thoughts, and feelings.

If you, like me, are craving more depth and authenticity - more inner truth and less bite-sized captions - I would love to welcome you to subscribe to my Substack!

Some more details:

  • I will be releasing a new post every Friday

  • Posts will either be a written story/blog-style post/diary-style entry, OR a video post as part of my Movement Stories series

  • The vast majority of my posts will be behind a paywall. Doing this allows me to feel more secure in sharing about very personal topics. There will be the occasional free post, however the majority of posts will be for paid subscribers only. There is a monthly ($8CAD) as well as a yearly ($80CAD) subscription option.

Thank you for considering becoming a subscriber to my Substack. I was telling a client the other day that the closer we get to what we’re really here to do - the closer we get to sharing our deepest-held dreams with the world - the scarier it is and the more resistance we face. Starting this Substack is a big, scary thing for me because it is a step in the direction of one of my longest- and deepest-held dreams of being a writer. I’ve procrastinated on starting my Substack for 2.5 years, literally! It was that scary to me! So I am celebrating myself big time today for finally taking that step and committing to sharing my gifts in this way in a consistent manner. I am truly beyond excited to release a new article each week, and to kick off my Movement Stories series. This is definitely one of those baby steps that gets me excited to see what comes from it. Writing and sharing consistently with you is a true joy, and I can’t wait to create a community of authentic sharing over on Substack. I’m not just here to talk “at” you and share about Human Design (although I love teaching and sharing Human Design too! And Human Design will certainly come into play in my writing on Substack). I’m here to be in the messy middle of things on my own complicated journey through this wild lifetime. I am truly right there with you on this ride, and if all this Substack journey does is inspire a single person to do their own big scary thing, then I will feel I have succeeded!
