In a Movement Consultation, I help you to identify your unique needs in the realm of health/fitness/movement, and provide big-picture guidance with crafting your movement regime.

A tool used in movement consultations is Human Design, a revolutionary new technology that allows us to grasp the intricacies of human nature. Human Design provides a roadmap for us to work off of to identify your unique movement needs and how to connect more deeply to the wisdom of your body.

If you would like to feel good in your body, stop the mental comparison to other people (who certainly have different movement needs than you do!), enhance your health, identify and eliminate “mystery” symptoms, empower yourself with practical ways to connect to your body’s unique wisdom, and gain more energy and vitality in your life, a movement consultation could be for you!

A 45-minute 1:1 session where we’ll dive into:

1) The current context of your life and how that impacts your movement practice

2) Your movement/sport/fitness/health history

3) What your Human Design chart can tell you about how you are uniquely designed and what that means for you in the realm of movement/sport/physical activity

4) A big-picture* action plan to implement a simple and sustainable movement practice that works for you in your life

*Note: By “big-picture” I mean we will come up with themes and ideas for your movement practice together in the session (such as: I am working out too intensely for my unique energy and need to explore lower-intensity options; Competition is important to me and I’m feeling excited about exploring an adult rec league, etc). Please note that I do not write specific training plans or anything similar (e.g. I won’t be prescribing a particular gym workout or running program).

Hi, I’m Courtney! For the first 30 years of my life, I was always an athlete in some way, shape or form: From playing competitive soccer as a teenager and in college, to running track and field at university, to competing in mountain/ultra/trail races in my 20s, and finally to representing Canada at the World Championships in the sport of ski mountaineering. In 2019, I stumbled upon this crazy little thing called Human Design and it completely shifted my life and my understanding of who I am as a person. I knew immediately after learning about my unique Human Design Chart that I was WAY off-track in terms of how I was moving my body. My movement practice was not healthy nor sustainable for my unique needs, and this was showing up in cycles of injury and illness that were never fully explained through traditional methods. Over the last six years, I’ve been using my knowledge of the Human Design System to create a more physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually healthy regime for myself with great success. Gone are the mystery illnesses and injuries, and here to stay is a simple, sustainable movement practice that feeds me on all levels. Working with Human Design as a tool has helped me to create a healthier and more peaceful life for myself, both on and off the “field” (or in my case, the trails!). Since 2021, I have been working 1:1 with clients from all over the world to help them to better understand who they are, their greater purpose for being here, and how to create a life that deeply supports their well-being.

  • I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical and Health Education from McGill University, and a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Calgary. I am also a published researcher in the field of Sport and Exercise Psychology. In the Human Design realm, I have taken Erin Claire Jones’ Blueprint Pro courses, as well as numerous courses from leaders in the field like Ra Uru Hu, Richard Rudd, Jenna Zoe, and others.

    All of that aside, I would say that my greatest qualification is my own embodied experiences in the realm of movement, sport, and physical activity, as well as the client work I have been doing since 2021 that has provided me further insight into how one’s Human Design Chart impacts the type of movement program that is most supportive to that individual.

    I am not a certified personal trainer, nor a physiotherapist, nor a medical doctor, and I highly recommend consulting with these types of professionals to further support your movement journey.

  • Sessions are never recorded without your explicit verbal consent. This is discussed in the first few moments of the session. That being said, I highly recommend recording the session, as it is a valuable resource for you to refer back to in the future!

  • Privacy and confidentiality are very important to me. The content of your session is never shared without your explicit consent. If the session is recorded, the recording is shared only with you (and I ask that you keep it for your private use only as well and that you do not share it online or publicly in any way).

  • No. Payment is accepted in full at the time of booking your consultation.

  • Payment is accepted at the time of booking via credit card when you schedule your consultation. If you are a Canadian resident and prefer to pay by e-transfer instead, please email hello@courtneypost.com to set up your session and arrange for an e-transfer to be made.
